TickeRank Step-by-Step:
If you haven't read the Introduction page, which gives a general overview of
TickeRank, please click HERE.
Below are the basic steps to get you up and running quickly
with TickeRank. The three main areas are Filtering, Get
List and Rank List.
Filtering...
First, set your filters in the Options tab. The filters narrow down every List
after TickeRank grabs them. The default filter will keep all stocks between
$5 and $200 a share, over 25,000 volume, any market cap and from any
of the three main US exchanges. If you want no filtering, check the
"Do Not Filter" checkbox. Next you can turn off "List Daily Performance"
in the Options tab. This turns off the 1 through 5 day performance columns
in the Results tab... you can turn it on later if you want.
Get List...
Pick one or more Lists from the three List tabs, then click the "Get List"
button. TickeRank will grab the selected List(s), narrow the List based on your
filter settings (if turned on), and display them in the Results tab. You'll know this
step is finished when the word "Idle..." is displayed in the lower left corner
of TickeRank.
Rank List...
Now you're ready to Rank your List. Pick one or more Ranks from the two
Rank tabs, then click the "Rank List" button. TickeRank then goes through
the List that was just grabbed, and gets the Rank information from the selected
websites for each symbol. The Rank value is then displayed along side each
symbol in the Results tab. Once again, it's finished when the word "Idle..." is
displayed in the lower left corner.
***************************************
That's all there is to it! You've just demonstrated the main purpose of
TickeRank... to collect and evaluate. Where to go next? Each List and Rank is
described in more detail on the "Link/Rank Descriptions" page on this website.
Also, the "Features" page goes through each feature in more detail. View them
with the links at the top of this page, or click the "Help" button in TickeRank.
Want to know more about where the List and Rank data comes from? Left-click on any
List or Rank name in the List and Rank tabs in TickeRank. Your browser will open up
to the website where the data is grabbed from. This is a great way to learn much
more about technical and fundamental analysis, direct from the source.
